The Fallen One – "Kings and Cosmic" Collection

The Fallen One is a dark and monumental iteration of Norrin Radd, born from the imagination of writer Donny Cates and artist Geoff Shaw. First appearing in 2018 in the issue Thanos #15 (as part of the Thanos Wins arc), this character spent millennia wandering the cosmic void to become "unworthy"—a necessary condition to manipulate dark matter. In this apocalyptic future, he returns as the ultimate bulwark to strike down the Mad Titan, wielding the sacred hammer of Thor, Mjölnir, with a rediscovered nobility. This piece captures the moment of truth where cosmic destiny is decided by a final thunderclap, featuring the metal-engraved inscription: "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor."

My artistic vision for this sculpture is based on the concept of cosmic super-conduction. Moving away from a classic organic approach, I chose to sculpt a completely smooth body—a surface of pure silver treated for a "Silver Black" finish. This absence of prominent anatomical details, such as veins or pores, accentuates the character's ethereal and implacable nature. The pose is that of a dignified sentinel: with his arm raised to the sky, his body is struck by lightning through the hammer. Divine energy flows through his conductive torso to be released with controlled violence from his opposite hand, creating an electric visual flow that brings a powerful dynamism to the entire piece.
