A supervillain from the Marvel Comics universe, Blackheart was created by writer Ann Nocenti and artist John Romita Jr. in 1989. He made his first appearance in Daredevil #270, published in September 1989. Blackheart is the son of the demon Mephisto, born in the 1600s from the concentrated hatred and malevolence of humanity that accumulated in Christ's Crown—a place steeped in dark energy.

Endowed with immense demonic power, Blackheart can manipulate darkness, project energy, control souls, and regenerate from fatal injuries. He often seeks to surpass his father by taking control of Hell or corrupting Earth’s heroes, including Daredevil, Spider-Man, and Ghost Rider, whom he has battled multiple times. Blackheart is one of the most sinister and powerful villains in the Marvel Universe, embodying the eternal struggle between good and evil.
