Starlight, also known as Tania Belinsky, is a character from Marvel Comics. She first appeared in The Defenders #35 in May 1976. Created by Steve Gerber and Sal Buscema, she is a former Soviet neurosurgeon who was transformed into a radioactive entity by The Presence, who intended to make her his companion and ally. Although she was psychically influenced by him, she struggled to maintain her free will and ultimately managed to break free from his control with the help of the Defenders and other heroes.
