Heimdall is a fictional character from the Marvel Comics universe, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and inspired by the Norse god of the same name. He first appeared in Journey into Mystery #85 in October 1962. Heimdall is one of the residents of Asgard and serves as the guardian of the Bifröst, the rainbow bridge that connects Asgard to the other realms.
