Red Guardian, whose real name is Alexei Shostakov, is a Soviet super-soldier from Marvel Comics who first appeared in The Avengers #43 in August 1967, created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema. A former test pilot and Russian war hero, Alexei was selected by the Soviet Union to become their counterpart to Captain America under the Red Guardian identity. He is portrayed as an elite hand-to-hand combatant with exceptional physical conditioning (in the comics, without the super-soldier serum, unlike in the film).
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (Black Widow, 2021), portrayed by David Harbour, Alexei is a boastful and nostalgic super-soldier, proud of his past achievements but now fallen from grace. He is also the clumsy adoptive father of Natasha Romanoff and Yelena Belova, embodying a complex mix of humor and pathos.
In both comics and on screen, he symbolizes a faded Soviet patriotism, torn between past glory, regrets, and the pursuit of redemption.
The RED GUARDIAN bust is crafted from high-quality resin to ensure maximum durability and strength. Each piece is individually numbered to guarantee its authenticity and rarity on the collector’s market. Add a touch of brilliance and sophistication to your collection with the RED GUARDIAN bust.
