Created by Al Milgrom and Herb Trimpe, and first appearing in Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #98 in January 1985, Spot (Dr. Jonathan Ohnn) is a scientist working for the Kingpin to recreate the powers of the supervillain Dimension. During a failed experiment, Ohnn accidentally opened a portal to the Spotworld dimension. While attempting to close the portal, he found himself covered in the same spots, which are actually mini-dimensional portals. He can now use them to teleport himself, other objects and body parts through space, making his movements unpredictable and his attacks formidable. A unique and surprising threat to Spider-Man, Spot is able to disappear and reappear instantly, turning every fight into a dimensional puzzle.
